About The Position

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Advanced Golang application development skills
- Proven experience with distributed systems and microservices
- Hands-on expertise in building REST APIs and backend services
- Proficiency with messaging/event-driven platforms
- Strong knowledge of cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced team
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS, or similar messaging tools
- Building platform-level services for multi-team use
- Experience with high-volume, consumer-facing applications
- Background in ecommerce, promotions, or customer engagement platforms
- Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Golang and Java
- Enhance and modernize core Event Horizon messaging platform components
- Build robust, fault-tolerant distributed systems processing high-volume events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new platform features and capabilities
- Implement asynchronous, event-driven architectures and efficient messaging solutions
- Develop APIs, microservices, and integrations powering multi-channel promotions
- Influence technical strategy through active participation in architecture discussions
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed environments
- Contribute to CI/CD automation and operational excellence initiatives
