About The Position

Relative Dynamics is seeking a GNC Engineer - RPO. This position is a remote role and will support a commercial space customer with occasional travel to customer site.

Requirements

Must be U.S. Citizen
6+ years of experience in aerospace guidance, navigation, and control
Direct, specific experience with spacecraft RPO design and operation
B.S. in engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer sciences from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

Designing trajectories for Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO)
Planning phasing maneuvers, approach corridors, and close-range operations
Using relative motion dynamics – including Hill’s equations – for proximity operations planning
Performing safety analysis for RPO, including for collision avoidance, keep-out zones, and abort scenarios
Designing trajectories for new missions during proposal and concept stages
Performing trade studies for and optimizing delta-V budgets
