About The Position

GMP Floor Care Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet, including tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting. They maintain areas including offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas like break rooms. The role also involves keeping assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, clean and orderly. Technicians must work effectively with colleagues, clients, and all organizational levels, understanding and following instructions, and communicating task completion clearly.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak English, and communicate effectively
  • Minimum 1 ½ years’ experience in floor care
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance
  • Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
  • Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment

  • Follow safety protocols, maintain environmental responsibility, and uphold quality standards
  • Actively participate in HSEQ training and report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.

Nice To Haves

  • Related GMP manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform sanitizations per GMP regulations in production areas (Mop and/ or wipe floors, wall ceilings, curtains, etc.)
  • Wear Full PPE for extended periods of time
  • Strictly adhere to Safety and GMP SOPs and perform related documentation clearly and legibly
  • Floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells
  • Routine restroom cleaning
  • Maintenance of floor care equipment
  • Follow impairment procedures prior to performing work
  • Document all floor cleaning per the schedule provided
  • Perform daily audits to ensure floors maintain aesthetic appearance
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
  • Maintain clean work area
  • Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
  • Take direction and respond to supervision
  • Communicate with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers professionally
  • Fill in during staff shortage
  • Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct
  • Understand customer service and satisfaction
  • Understand reporting systems and the environment
