About The Position

Westgate Branson Woods Resort is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Floor Cleaning Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of carpets, floors, and upholstery throughout the resort. This role involves cleaning various surfaces to remove damage from smoke and water, waxing and stripping floors, and operating specialized cleaning equipment. The technician will also be responsible for ensuring safety protocols are followed, drying affected areas, and inspecting completed work to meet high standards. Additionally, this position may involve training new employees and performing other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Required to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Must be able to regularly lift, pull, push and or/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift and move furniture safely.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Candidates are required to pass a background check, drug test, and demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning carpets and floors in rooms and public areas of the resort.
  • Clean carpets, upholstery, floors and room accessories to remove effects of smoke and water damage such as dirt, soot, stains, mildew and excess water moisture.
  • Must wax and strip floors as needed.
  • Drives vehicles or golf carts with floor mounted or portable commercial carpet, upholstery and interior cleaning machines, tools and supplies to work site.
  • Ensures that proper safety signs are set up prior to performing floor cleaning activities.
  • Places fans and dehumidifiers in strategic room location to remove moisture from carpets, upholstery and air.
  • Verifies moisture presence and removal with moisture sensor.
  • Spray or fogs carpets, upholstery and accessories with fabric conditioners and protectors, deodorizers and disinfectants.
  • Inspect completed restoration to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Assists in training of fellow employees in the department.
  • Other duties assigned by leadership.
