About The Position

APEX TK is seeking a talented Ground Systems Development Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program. This position is part of APEX TK's team providing Systems Engineering Technical Assistance to the Ground-based Midcourse Dense (GMD) Product Office under the Teams-Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering (TN-MDSE) contract managed by the Missile Defense Agency. The analyst will support the GMN System Engineering Leadership in requirements verification to ensure that the system or software will meet predefined technical requirements, specifications, and design criteria. This includes analyzing GMD Ground System Performance Specification and other requirements documentation, reviewing development contractor Joint Review Packages (JRP) for requirements decomposition, and providing recommendations on the acceptance of proposed verification strategies. The role also involves confirming that the verification strategy for the requirement set is clearly articulated, complete, correct, consistent, and achievable, as well as reviewing GMD Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables and Objective Evidence artifacts, providing comments and recommendations for concurrence or guidance. Additionally, the analyst will support the government in the preparation, conduct, and after-action responsibilities for various reviews (Sprint, program management, system requirements, design, project status, fielding readiness, operational readiness) and test events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program
• Must be a US Citizen and possess a DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Familiarity with Targets and Countermeasures program office and/or MDA & DoD programs and processes
• Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and produce and present clear, concise, well-organized, and audience-relevant presentations and documents
• Aptitude to review system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate
• Capacity to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks
• Experience working in a configuration-controlled environment and ensuring proper levels of handling are applied to items

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with MDA and system engineering processes
• Familiarity with MDA configuration management tools and process

Responsibilities
