About The Position

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Ground Systems Development Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position is located in Huntsville, AL. The role involves supporting the GMN System Engineering Leadership in requirements verification to ensure that the system or software meets predefined technical requirements, specifications, and design criteria. The analyst will analyze GMD Ground System Performance Specification and other requirements documentation, review development contractor Joint Review Packages (JRP) for requirements decomposition, and provide recommendations on the acceptance of proposed verification strategies. They will confirm that the verification strategy for the requirement set is clearly articulated, complete, correct, consistent, and achievable. Additionally, the position requires reviewing GMD Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables and Objective Evidence artifacts, providing comments and recommendations for concurrence or guidance, and supporting the government in preparation, conduct, and after-action responsibilities for various reviews and test events, including Sprint reviews, program management reviews, system requirements reviews, design reviews, project status reviews, test events, fielding readiness reviews, and operational readiness reviews.

Requirements

• MS degree (STEM preferred) + 12 years experience; or BS degree (STEM preferred) + 20 years experience.
• Direct experience with requirements verification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and DOORS.
• Ability to develop and present technical reports and briefings, including support to the Engineering Review Boards (ERB), other Stakeholder coordination, and Operational Capability List (OCL) approval process.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree or a master's degree in STEM is highly desired.
• Direct experience in digital engineering/DevSecOps development projects.
