About The Position

Albertsons Companies is a leading food and drug retailer in the U.S. operating over 2,200 stores. This role is responsible for managing the General Merchandise/Health and Beauty Care department, including customer service, staff supervision, inventory management, and maintaining department standards. The position involves ensuring customer satisfaction, training and scheduling staff, managing stock levels, and performing administrative tasks related to ordering and inventory. The role also requires adherence to company policies and safety procedures, as it is considered a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
Ability to work independently when necessary.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service as defined by the employer within the scope of the position and company policy.
Train, schedule, and supervise GM/HBC workers to ensure optimum staffing patterns for the department.
Speak with customers to resolve problems with sales, dissatisfaction with service or product, or other problems related to the operation of the GM/HBC area.
Maintain cleanliness of department and storage area.
Replace stock in displays and on shelves as needed.
Ensure all expired items are removed from the shelves daily.
Perform daily inventory and order necessary supplies to maintain adequate inventory.
Write and input orders into the store computer.
Monitor inter-office mail and company web page daily for updated information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
