Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years as an automotive technician, with a strong background in GM vehicles preferred.
  • PA State Inspection and Emissions Licenses are required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues across various makes and models.
  • A demonstrated commitment to precision and delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering timely and efficient service.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and manufacturer-sponsored training provided by C. Harper Auto Group.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certification is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with General Motors vehicles is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with OEM standards and procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently complete all tasks specified on repair orders, adhering strictly to dealership and manufacturer standards.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide array of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Collaborate directly with Service Advisors to keep customers informed about necessary repairs and provide accurate time estimates.
  • Execute warranty repairs in strict accordance with manufacturer guidelines and specifications.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all repairs, maintenance work performed, and parts utilized.
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing education and training.
  • Work cohesively with fellow technicians and service staff to deliver the highest level of customer service.
