Requirements
- Previous professional automotive technician experience
- GM dealership experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to accurately diagnose electrical and mechanical concerns
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and technical service information
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- ASE certifications are a plus
- GM certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs on GM vehicles
- Diagnose complex electrical, drivability, engine, transmission, HVAC, and chassis concerns
- Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs according to GM procedures
- Utilize GM diagnostic equipment, service information, and technical resources
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Perform multi-point inspections and identify additional maintenance or repair needs
- Properly document diagnostic findings and repairs performed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work closely with Service Advisors, Parts, and other technicians to ensure an excellent customer experience
- Stay current on GM technical information, service procedures, and product updates
