Requirements
- GM Certification and/or ASE Certifications
- Strong diesel diagnostic and repair experience
- Experience working on diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions systems, and electrical diagnostics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity standards
- Professional attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience operating electronic diagnostic equipment
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment background
Nice To Haves
- Previous dealership service experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine performance concerns
- Perform repairs on heavy-duty and light-duty diesel vehicles
- Troubleshoot engine, fuel, emissions, electrical, cooling, and drivability systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service work
- Conduct inspections and test drives to verify repairs
- Complete warranty repairs according to GM manufacturer guidelines
- Use advanced diagnostic software and dealership repair systems
- Communicate repair recommendations and timelines with Service Advisors
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and repair orders
- Follow all manufacturer procedures and dealership safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
