About The Position

The Director, Global Value & Access, Neuroscience develops and drives execution of global market access and pricing strategies to demonstrate the value of our products to health authorities, HTA agencies and payers. This position will focus on the neuroscience therapeutic area. As part of the Global Value & Access department, the Global Value & Access Director will support Ipsen affiliates to optimize the access to and pricing of drugs within the neuroscience portfolio. To achieve those objectives, they will drive activities to inform global access and pricing strategies for priority assets and ensure the successful implementation of tactical activities that demonstrate the value of the products to payers, to ensure seamless and sustainable patient access globally. They will work closely with various cross functional teams across the neuroscience franchise, and are expected to be proactive, proposing innovative solutions to drive business performance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS is required: ideally in a scientific background with a business focus
  • At least 10 years of experience in Marketing Access and Pricing
  • Experience working on HTA submissions and knowledge of the global HTA landscape
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple project deadlines in a hands-on manner within a fast-paced work environment
  • International experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, when needed

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the execution of access, reimbursement, and pricing plans.
  • Monitor market landscape for emerging trends, opportunities and threats in the corresponding therapeutic area and translate this to implications and insights for the products of focus.
  • Identify payer types & local needs (i.e., evidence-driven, budget oriented) to optimize market access outcomes over time.
  • Partner with global pricing team to monitor and develop innovative pricing strategies to address local challenges and requirements (including managing reference pricing impacts).
  • Lead development, implementation and roll-out of relevant tools (i.e., payer value dossiers and propositions, cost calculators, objection handlers, etc.).
  • Act as lead Value & Access representative on key cross-functional teams (i.e., Asset team, R&D working groups, Commercial, etc.) to support the development of market access and pricing strategies and ensure market access and pricing insights are embedded in product plans throughout the lifecycle.
  • Work closely with HEOR team to identify gaps in evidence and deliver clear recommendations relating to data generation to fill gaps.
  • Provide holistic support to affiliate market access teams, for the successful implementation of global strategies and tools, to facilitate optimal local access and pricing negotiations.
  • Apply project management skills facilitating best practice sharing across both global and local organizations and delivery of activities/initiatives in a timely and complete manner.
  • Assess and provide input into relevant business cases, including assumptions related to target patient populations, expected volumes and reimbursement criteria, price erosion, competitor impact, etc., in partnership with global pricing team.
  • Coordinate and oversee projects with external consultants (as needed).
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with leadership and other identified stakeholders to ensure alignment on key initiatives/deliverables.
