About The Position

Based in Malta, NY, the Global Trade Compliance Intern will gain hands-on exposure to export and import operations, regulatory risk management, trade strategy, and policy developments that affect the semiconductor industry. The intern will work with Global Trade Compliance professionals and cross-functional partners to support compliant global business operations while building practical knowledge of customs, export controls, sanctions, supply chain processes, and international trade developments.

Requirements

  • At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Political Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • English (Written & Verbal) Fluency
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Support projects across export and import operations, trade risk management, strategy, and policy.
  • Partner with compliance professionals to review shipment documentation, trade data, regulatory requirements, and emerging policy developments.
  • Assist in monitoring customs, export control, and sanctions-related records, controls, and compliance processes.
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen compliance programs, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Research trade regulations, customs requirements, export controls, international shipping practices, and policy trends affecting global technology trade.
  • Analyze trade, operational, and risk data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support audits, reporting activities, compliance reviews, and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with teams across Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, Legal, and Finance.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
