The Global Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving Boart Longyear's global trade compliance, tariff management, and duty optimization program. This position provides strategic leadership and technical expertise across customs, import/export regulations, tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), Free Trade Agreements (FTA), trusted trader programs, and other duty optimization and trade compliance programs. A key responsibility of the role is to lead the company's global tariff management strategy and mitigation planning, including the identification, assessment, prioritization, and coordination of actions in response to changing tariffs and trade regulations. The role establishes global standards, governance, tools, reporting, and methodologies while working through regional Logistics and Trade Compliance resources to develop strong regional tariff management capabilities. The Global Trade Compliance Manager partners closely with regional Logistics teams, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Management, Operations, Finance, Legal, and external trade advisors to anticipate tariff exposure, quantify business impacts, develop compliant mitigation strategies, and coordinate execution across regions. The role supports operations across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia while promoting a consistent global framework with effective regional execution.
