About The Position

Cervélo exists to Make Riders Faster. You will see our bikes on the road, on the trail, and under some of the most elite athletes in the world. We are a small group of passionate riders, dedicated to delivering the best bikes in the world. It is not all CAD and wind tunnel time, though; we are headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, a sweet corner of Orange County where you can ride on and off road year-round. Cervélo bikes have won all three Grand Tours (the first bike in history to do so), our ambitions have never been higher, and we are looking for talented, driven people to join our team. The Global Supply Planner will be responsible for the planning of global supply and placing the purchase orders with our various assembly partners in a timeframe dictated by our delivery schedules. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external manufacturing & assembly partners, and internal commercial teams from our various global markets to balance supply and demand while optimizing operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant buyer or purchasing experience at a medium to large distribution and/or manufacturing business
  • 4+ years of relevant supply planning experience at a medium to large distribution and/or manufacturing business.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or equivalent through experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working across multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software SAP (S4-Hana), and the Google suite applications.
  • High-level Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables and Advanced Formulas).
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics.
  • Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain supply plans aligned with global demand forecasts, ensuring product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Verifies details of Purchase Orders for finished bicycles, framesets, and small parts for all markets.
  • Communicate changes and cancellations of Purchase Orders with the respective Category Buyer.
  • Through the direction of the Global Supply Chain Manager, this role will collaborate with the Global Demand Manager to understand demand fluctuations, promotional activities, and seasonal trends.
  • Assist in identifying gaps between supply and demand and proposing solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Act as a liaison between regional distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and headquarters to ensure alignment on supply chain priorities.
  • Support the resolution of supply chain issues, such as production delays or transportation disruptions.
  • Understand the causality of delivery issues and communicate delivery schedule changes as necessary to stakeholders in the company.
  • Work as with Marketing, Engineering and Product Management to manage ordering and delivery of project inventory.
  • Ensure a flexible schedule to respond to messages, and potentially join meetings with European and Asia Pacific partners.
  • Create and update critical data in the system of record, confirm and upload the details to Bill of Materials and review periodically for accuracy.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $80,000-$92,000
