About The Position

The Supply Planner position is a highly visible supply chain role that's charged with coordinating and optimizing the inventory planning and procurement cost across the supply chain network.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, Mathematics, Supply Chain/Operations, Finance or other related field preferred.
Strong Excel skills required and experience with data manipulation - including graphs, pivots, vlookups, etc.
Must possess very strong analytical skills and be detailed oriented.
Commitment to process improvement and ability to perform root cause analysis.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of integrated planning software highly desirable.
SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Balance inventory targets, customer service levels, forecast accuracy, and safety stock requirements for assigned SKUs.
Act as a key liaison to resolve supply issues and ensure efficient delivery of inventory, service, and cost objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve supply planning processes using current tools.
Ensure accuracy of all purchase order data to support Sales, Operations & Transportation Teams.
Meet customer demand and regional performance objectives.
Proactively use MRPs and other tools to review inventory projections & supply-demand summaries to prevent potential shortages or excessive inventory and demurrage.
Track inventory levels and suggest inventory parameter adjustments.
Assess purchasing options, optimize loads by combining products onto a single order, and pre-order as needed to reduce costs. Collaborate with product marketing management on overall supply direction.
Review out-of-stock situations or shortage of supply issues and recommend mitigations. Use exception reports to identify and resolve potential out-of-stock issues.
Conduct business and performance reviews with key suppliers on an ad-hoc basis.
Track and reconcile weekly/monthly metrics versus established targets.
