About The Position

Helion is seeking a seasoned Global Supply Manager to lead the development and scaling of a world-class supply chain for next-generation energy systems. In this role, you will own strategic sourcing initiatives across complex electromechanical and custom electronics, partnering closely with engineering to bring first-of-a-kind hardware from prototype through production. You will build and manage critical supplier relationships, drive cost and capacity strategies, and play a key role in enabling Helion’s mission to deliver fusion energy at scale. This is a high-impact, onsite role based in Everett, WA, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • Ownership of high value spend ($100M+) with a track record of building and scaling resilient, global supply chains and long-term supplier partnerships in capital-intensive industries.
  • Deep experience sourcing complex electromechanical systems and capital equipment, including transitioning from R&D/prototype to pilot and early production at scale.
  • Proven ability to identify, qualify, and ramp new suppliers while managing risk through strategies like dual sourcing, long lead-time mitigation, and make-vs-buy analysis.
  • Strong ability to partner with engineering and program leadership in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments, using data-driven trade studies to influence decisions.
  • Advanced negotiation and contracting experience, combined with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor others, and operate effectively in high-growth, mission-driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Source electronic components and assemblies in collaboration with engineering and production.
  • Drive BOM cost reductions and secure vendor capacity to support schedule requirements.
  • Identify new vendors and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to develop a diverse and robust supply chain.
  • Lead bidding efforts.
  • Negotiate contract terms and manage existing contracts with vendors including manufacturing service agreements, stocking programs, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
  • Lead initiatives and projects cross-functionally.
  • Create purchase orders, resolve invoice and receiving snags.
  • Maintain accurate ERP vendor and open order data.
