About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This team supports all AWS data centers and the associated equipment that ensures customers have continual access to innovation. The role involves working on challenging supply chain problems with thousands of variables. The successful candidate will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. They will collaborate across AWS to maintain high standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost. The AIS organization focuses on delivering cutting-edge solutions for socially responsible data center supply chains. The Power & Cooling team within AIS is seeking a results-oriented individual to manage sourcing and supply for Data Center Power & Cooling Equipment. Procurement Managers in this area are industry experts who ensure the supply needed for AWS's growth. The role involves supporting end-to-end global sourcing and supply chain for categories within Power and Cooling Equipment for AWS Data Center build projects. The primary responsibility is to ensure unconstrained global supply for these categories, understand demand signals from internal customers and business partners, and develop appropriate supply strategies for continuity. This must be achieved while maintaining a low cost structure and adapting to volatile demand.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience
  • 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python
  • Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end global sourcing and supply chain for Data Center Power & Cooling Equipment categories.
  • Maintain unconstrained global supply for responsible categories.
  • Work with internal customers and business partners to understand demand signals and drive appropriate supply strategies.
  • Ensure continuity of supply while enabling procurement with a low cost structure and flexibility.
  • Engage with global supply chain counterparts to drive leading supply chain practices and initiatives.
  • Invent and simplify processes to reduce waste in tactical process management cycle time.
  • Problem-solve data quality issues through root-cause analysis and drive prevention mechanisms at scale.
  • Drive innovation and automation through the supply chain and influence industry practices.
  • Develop analytical reports to deliver information to business partners and stakeholders that support improved decision making.
  • Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals.
  • Identify and drive realization of opportunities for sustainable, scalable, relative advantage in your category.
  • Requires travel up to 10% of the year.
