About The Position

The Global Supply Chain Analyst is a key position within Methode’s MP&L team, reporting to the Director, Digital Supply Chain. The Global Supply Chain Analyst connects technology with business needs and drives analytics and problem-solving activity across Global MP&L. In this position the key activity is the continual improvement of data quality and application to influence processes and workflows that support operational tasks and strategic planning. The analyst will lead activities that help stabilize and standardize processes of reporting to generate monetizable value through improved cashflow and EBITDA performance. Key deliverables for the role will be actionable BI dashboards and reports, User-training and optimization of the reporting systems, and development support of new digital and AI platforms.

Requirements

  • Fluent English Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Data Science or Information Systems
  • Experience within the Automotive, Industrial or Data Center businesses
  • 2 years of experience in a discipline of Supply Chain Management
  • Experience of driving Continuous Process Improvements
  • Strong change management and training skills
  • Demonstrated capability and knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills – data science and scripting experience is an advantage
  • Analyzing large, complex data sets through the utilization of analytics tools (Excel, Access, VBA, Tableau, Power BI, Zoho)
  • Strong capability to work and influence cross-functionally and drive continuous digital and system improvements (relentlessly challenges & improves)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Proficient at achieving high levels of engagement and empowerment of cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams, through training and development sessions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to design training material and deliver training virtually and in person
  • Ability to explain complex processes in understandable terms and develop presentations to sell an idea and take decisions
  • Solid understanding of supply chain operations, especially inventory control, planning, forecasting, scheduling and S&OP
  • Familiar with the development, use, and implementation of supply chain planning and control tower systems

Nice To Haves

  • Additional Languages: Spanish, Arabic or Mandarin Language also desirable but not necessary
  • MBA or MSc in Supply-Chain or Analytics
  • Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP).
  • Proficiency in project management and problem-solving techniques.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt

Responsibilities

  • Create a strong bias for action with a demonstrated ability to mine, refine, and utilize complex data sets
  • Drive standardized reporting across all levels of the Supply Chain and create tools that allow quick and meaningful analysis of processes across the business. This reporting should drive activity and where necessary countermeasures to continually improve workflow efficiency, customer experience and financial performance.
  • Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that drive improvement in key performance metrics: Customer OTIF, inventory turns, and forecast accuracy
  • Build dashboards, process maps, scripts, and works with Microsoft Office products, business partners and IT personnel to create programs & EDI reports to enable leaner, more efficient Methode business operations
  • Develop, maintain and automate Supply Chain dashboards that reduce non-value-added work for MP&L Planners, freeing them up to become more proactive in planning the Supply Chain and reducing business risk
  • Design and perform process workflows that ensure large-scale data cleansing and standardization projects are completed successfully. Collaborate with teammates and external partners to collect, test, and validate the data required to successfully launch new digital software platforms
  • Establishes governance and drives adherence to the MP&L Digital strategy.
  • Analyze demand and supply patterns by developing a model of customer forecast and sales history together with purchase and receipt data. Utilize the demand data to decide optimal inventory level, communicate to production and purchasing to minimize working capital and stock out.
  • Analyze customer forecast and verify data to align with actual sales numbers in support of S&OP/S&OE Planning cycles.
  • Identify capacity constraints and work with partners to develop costed contingency plans to maintain service levels for business scenarios
  • Measure actual performance against goals on regular basis and present results to senior management
  • Provide regular reports and insights on inventory levels, delivery performance, and planning efficiency to senior leadership
