About The Position

The Global Sourcing team is responsible for all direct procurement associated with Verkada's Hardware. This includes cost management from FATP to sub-tier supply chain suppliers, as well as testing, certification, OPEX, and CAPEX. The team also manages commercial relationships and contracts. Verkada operates in a fast-paced development environment where first-generation products move from concept to customer delivery quickly, with many work streams running in parallel to ensure high-quality products are brought to market efficiently.

Requirements

BS/MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a graduation year of 2027 or 2028
Available for a Winter Co-Op, starting around January 4th, preferably for an extended term (4-12 months).
Available for a full-time (40 hours per week) in-person internship in San Mateo, CA
Experience with Excel (or related) modeling and simulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to management required
Strong academic performance to date

Responsibilities

Support senior sourcing members with end-to-end hardware sourcing responsibilities for Verkada Product Line(s) during NPI and MP phases.
Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, etc. for various aspects of operation including cost management and margin analysis.
Find and manage suppliers including relationship management, audits, and onboarding.
Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams to deliver new products.
