About The Position

RapidAir is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across our growing domestic and international supplier network. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Procurement, this role will spearhead existing sourcing projects, identify new category and cost-saving opportunities, and bring greater structure and visibility to RapidAir’s spend profile. The Global Sourcing Manager will play a key role in strengthening supplier relationships, expanding our supply base, and developing sourcing strategies that support continued growth. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and global supplier development, with the ability to operate independently in a growing, entrepreneurial environment. Industrial sourcing experience is highly preferred.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or global supply management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing sourcing and category strategies.
  • Experience managing international suppliers and global sourcing relationships.
  • Proven ability to identify and deliver measurable cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating spend, supplier data, and market information.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and commercial decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP systems; comfortable using data and reporting tools to analyze spend, evaluate opportunities, and support sourcing decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of strategic initiatives, and bring structure to a growing procurement function.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial sourcing experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global sourcing and category strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead existing strategic sourcing projects and identify new sourcing and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop domestic and international suppliers.
  • Lead supplier negotiations related to pricing, commercial terms, lead times, and service levels.
  • Analyze company spend and establish greater structure and visibility across spend categories.
  • Evaluate supplier markets, cost drivers, risks, and sourcing alternatives to inform purchasing strategies.
  • Build and strengthen strategic supplier relationships while identifying opportunities to diversify the supply base.
  • Partner cross-functionally to understand future demand, product needs, and sourcing requirements.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, availability, lead times, and supply continuity.
  • Establish and track measurable results across cost savings, supplier performance, category spend, and other key sourcing metrics.
