About The Position

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, aiming to deliver 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This role is within the Supply Chain Team, which is responsible for supplying tens of gigawatts of compute, qualifying and dual-sourcing critical equipment, and ensuring supply chain velocity is a key differentiator. The team also focuses on building accurate supply chain prediction modeling using AI. The Global Sourcing Manager, Steel will own the steel category, including structural steel and fabricated assemblies, and will be responsible for sourcing fabrication capacity, negotiating pricing, qualifying fabricators, and managing load balancing.

Requirements

  • Understand fabrication economics: material, labor, coatings, and freight, and where each shop makes its margin.
  • Qualified fabrication shops and caught the capacity overstatements in their pitch.
  • Manage commodity exposure with indexing or hedging rather than hoping.

Nice To Haves

  • AISC-certified fabrication networks.
  • Modular construction.
  • Weld quality programs.

Responsibilities

  • Source fabrication capacity across regional shops so throughput scales with the build plan, not with one shop's backlog.
  • Negotiate raw material and fabrication pricing with mechanisms that survive commodity swings.
  • Qualify fabricators on quality and capacity, and manage the load balancing across them weekly.

Benefits

  • Pay equity and transparency.
