About The Position

This role is a key position within FMC's Global Procurement organization, reporting to the Global Category Manager, Commodities & Functional Additives. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and translating sourcing strategies into actionable initiatives, delivering measurable value across FMC's global operations. The Global Sourcing Manager will ensure the availability, competitiveness, and sustainability of strategically important raw materials across our global manufacturing footprint. This role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact from day one within a lean and highly engaged team, influencing sourcing decisions and driving key procurement initiatives. The role requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, R&D, and finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of global sourcing activities and supporting the management of Solvents, Surfactants, Sugars, and Starches subcategories, delivering towards both business continuity and long-term value creation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of international experience within sourcing, procurement, commercial, or operations in a multinational environment (preferably Pharmaceutical, Agricultural, or Chemical sectors)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to prioritize and self-direct
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
  • Critical thinking and effective problem solving
  • Professional and ethical personal conduct and demeanor
  • Endless curiosity, motivation, and determination to succeed

Nice To Haves

  • Additional languages, particularly Portuguese & Spanish can be an advantage
  • MBA
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, supply chain or business
  • Consulting experience
  • Fluency in additional languages

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and execution of subcategory strategies in partnership with category leadership and key stakeholders
  • Conduct cost-analysis activities in partnership with finance and the business to identify savings opportunities against management targets
  • Identify, contract, and manage strategic relationships for operations and capital expenditure
  • Manage seamless business partnerships with the manufacturing, supply chain, and manufacturing technology functions
  • Develop and execute subcategory sourcing strategies (e.g. RFI, RFP, RFQ, scorecard and bid analysis, etc.)
  • Negotiate supplier contracts utilizing FMC contract templates & procedures
  • Manage timely and cost-effective resolution of contractual variations with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Integrate best practices and modernized business processes across FMC, ensuring best use of tools, techniques and processes
  • Collaborate with FMC’s Global Procurement Group’s Center of Excellence (CoE) team
