Reporting to the Sr Director of Strategic Alliances Commercialization, this individual contributor is responsible for supporting commercial execution and strategy between Medtronic and our Strategic Alliance partners, with an eye to growth opportunities. A successful candidate will support developing, driving and executing on partnership initiatives, including supporting product launches, supporting regional key initiatives, supporting partner promotions, and executing on programs and initiatives that help to further differentiate our brand, position, and messaging. This role will help to provide solutions to support customer needs and business growth goals by leading and executing on effective plans and programs, both strategic and tactical, to ensure we achieve both market share gains and increase penetration of our technology. The candidate will be expected to independently develop and implement programs and/or initiatives aligned to the strategy, which will require a high degree of cross-functional interaction and leadership capability. These programs and/or initiatives will also need alignment towards identified strategic partners, where a mutual benefit enables both companies to grow share/revenue. To be successful in this role, the candidate will build successful partnerships with the regions, strategic partners, field sales forces and cross-functional partners to inform strategies and will be seen as a driver of our commercial strategies, often utilizing our partner’s channel. This position has a unique vantage point, collaborating across global & regional functions, primarily focused on enabling ACM growth through partnership channels. Travel approximately 30% (domestic and international). This critical role uses strategic thinking to actively participate in decision analysis using internal and external data, problem formulation, meeting facilitation, data collection, model development and implementation and presentations to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Strategic agility and structured thinking, intellectual curiosity is a must.
  • Ability to turn detailed data analyses into succinct, useful insight
  • Ability to achieve results by working cross-functionally and collaboratively across a matrix organization, including scoping and managing projects with cross-business unit teams
  • Self-starter, comfortable taking initiative and leading/project managing multiple projects at once
  • Strong project management skills and tangible experience achieving results
  • Basic knowledge of the various business functions within a large organization, including Operations, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, Research & Development, Sales and Marketing
  • Working understanding of financial documents- Income statements, expense budgeting, financial decision-making methods
  • Excellent communication skills
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive the Strategic Alliances commercial strategy, in alignment to the overall Class of Trade strategies, both across the business and within the regions
  • Development of key commercial market strategies, including pricing strategies, competitive strategies, launch strategies, branding, and support of regional campaigns.
  • Effectively communicate the commercial strategy in a clear and concise manner across the organization
  • Ensures proper segmentation of target audience and unique value proposition is identified and resonates with customer segment.
  • Support key product launches to and with our OEM partners that enable further utilization of ACM technologies
  • Create programs, or initiatives that look to develop the market or gain share, by providing clear guidance, prescriptive actions, and tracking to expected outputs
  • Support regional counterparts on implementing programs and driving key activities in top customers, target customers, or areas for growth
  • Use strategic thinking to actively participate in decision analysis using internal and external data, problem formulation, meeting facilitation, data collection, model development and implementation and presentations to senior leadership.
  • Partner with sales leadership and sales training to ensure teams are properly trained and equipped to execute programs
  • Routinely communicate with the regional marketing & field sales force regarding programs and initiatives
  • Responsible for timely and frequent communications to the Regional teams on best practices, implementation strategies and tactics to increase market penetration.
  • Regularly analyze and report to senior leadership and cross-functional partners on market trends, the market share within key regions, and how we are looking to gain market share
  • Identify and propose solutions to gaps in our approach, lead efforts to secure customer/partner loyalty
  • Create content to promote, increase awareness, or support the driving of key strategies, included co-branded opportunities. This includes collaborating with digital marketing team on strategy and execution, including demand generation campaigns and website development, digital asset development.

  • Works within ACM to develop product launch methodology for new launches, mainly within OEM partner integrations.
  • Develops messaging and creative, including agency management, responsible for knowledge and management of total portfolio, including recommendations on road mapping & obsolescence strategies.
  • Partner with Global Sales Training department to develop and implement sales training curriculum and content for Strategic Alliance partners and Regional teams
