About The Position

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Vice President for their Global Research - Industry Policy Thematics Research team. This role involves driving research analysis on key themes such as supply chain and advanced manufacturing, defense and aerospace, energy independence and resilience, frontier and strategic technologies, and pharmaceutical and health technologies. The successful candidate will produce regular research and deep-dive reports, discern and analyze fundamental drivers of relevant industries and supply chains, and create quantitative indicators to track industry development. The role requires producing high-quality commercial research that incorporates data, market signals, and sector-specific evidence, while also considering the impact of policy and geopolitics on sectoral opportunities and risks. The Vice President will project thematic developments, provide actionable insights to stakeholders, collaborate across different research and business lines, and communicate findings through business writing. Maintaining external relationships and contributing to client engagements are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

1-5 years’ experience in data analysis
Solid written and oral communication skills
Intellectual flexibility to work across multiple industries and themes with curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a team player mentality
Adaptability and ability to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis

Experience in the financial services industry or IPT-related industry research organization

Responsibilities

Drive research analysis on themes such as supply chain and advanced manufacturing; defense and aerospace; energy independence and resilience; frontier and strategic technologies; and pharmaceutical and health technologies and produce regular research and deep-dive reports
Discern and analyze fundamental drivers of relevant industries and supply chains
Produce and maintain quantitative indicators tracking progress or lack thereof of IPT industries development
Produce high quality commercial research drawing on data, market signals, and sector-specific evidence and factoring in how policy and geopolitics shape sectoral opportunities and risks
Project thematic developments and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Collaborate with different lines of research and different business lines across the bank to leverage IPT research
Communicate findings through business writing
Maintain external relationships and contribute to internal and external client engagements
