MUFG•Jersey City, NJ
•$80,000 - $100,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The Red Team Analyst supports MUFG Red Team operations by carrying out adversary-emulation activities focused on AI-enabled technologies. Designed for early-career professionals with a computer science background and practical coding experience, the role develops offensive security skills while helping reduce enterprise risk. Under the direction of senior operators, the analyst participates in threat-led assessments, AI security testing, and purple team exercises to identify ways real-world adversaries could exploit application logic, automation pipelines, and AI-assisted capabilities. The position includes adversary simulation and emulation, assumed-breach scenarios, purple team and control-validation exercises, and safe testing within approved scopes and operational guardrails. The analyst also supports adversarial testing of AI systems and workflows, researches emerging attacker techniques, contributes to Red Team playbooks and repeatable workflows, and assists with reporting and evidence collection. Additional work includes developing and operationalizing custom ML/LLM models for cybersecurity, advancing security controls through applied AI, and evaluating emerging AI capabilities for proactive threat response. The role works at an MUFG office or client site four days per week and remotely one day per week.
