About The Position
Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students. The twelve-week program includes a variety of work arrangements, from onsite to fully remote within the US. Each intern receives a competitive salary, and those relocating to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend. Applications are reviewed in late fall/early winter. The GPM Conferencing Intern will assist with New Product Development Alpha & Beta testing and competitive benchmarking. This internship will be Onsite or Hybrid in Niles, IL.
Requirements
- Background in Audio Engineering, Acoustics, Music Technology, Recording, Production or other audio related interests or coursework
- Familiarity with Zoom, Teams, Video Conferencing techniques and technology, Collaboration and Conferencing market
- Basic knowledge of audio networking (IP connectivity, switches, digital audio)
- Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Shure will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Management team to evaluate IntelliMix Room Kit progress and assess new conferencing features.
- Perform live testing of conferencing product features, concepts, and industrial design options.
- Evaluate AV products in a variety of rooms to gauge the effect of different acoustics and lighting on the resulting performance.
