About The Position

Owns the global standard for product structure flow from engineering release to factory-floor execution across Gas Power technologies and factories. The role standardizes, simplifies, and automates manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM), router, asset structure, and kitting workflows so each site uses a trusted structure in PLM and ERP. The position serves as the business lead for manufacturing structure requirements in the Teamcenter PLM upgrade, then sustains and extends the standard through local owners at each factory. It partners with Engineering Configuration Management, site manufacturing engineering, Factory Planning, Digital Technology, and DPE New Technology Introduction. The role defines global E2M standards and rules for MBOM, routing, asset structures, kitting, engineering change, effectivity, and PLM-to-ERP data handoffs. It leads efforts to reduce product-structure complexity, converge local practices, automate structure creation and synchronization, and govern data quality and permitted site deviations. It also leads manufacturing-structure requirements, user acceptance testing, readiness, training, and adoption for the Teamcenter upgrade, and measures results such as release cycle time, data accuracy, shortages, kitting errors, and automation of manual work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with EBOM and MBOM structures, routings, and engineering change management in complex, engineered-to-order or configured manufacturing.
  • Experience with PLM (Teamcenter preferred) and ERP (SAP and/or Oracle), including transfer of BOM data from PLM to ERP.
  • Experience participating in or leading a PLM or ERP implementation, including user acceptance testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Dassault GTCC PLM familiarity.
  • Experience with Teamcenter manufacturing, including MBOM and bill of process.
  • Background in gas turbines, generators, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with workflow automation or data integration tools.
  • Experience developing training and delivering train-the-trainer programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to define standards and drive adoption across multiple sites without direct authority.
  • Ability to think in systems across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, and preference for standard, simple solutions over customization.
  • Ability to build alignment across global sites and functions and communicate clearly with frontline users and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain global standards for MBOM structure, router templates, asset structures, and kitting and point-of-use structures across gas turbine, generator, steam turbine, and HRSG technologies.
  • Define how the engineering bill of materials is transformed into the manufacturing bill of materials, including responsibility, timing, and allowed assignments.
  • Set standards for engineering change and effectivity, and target turnaround from engineering change to ERP.
  • Keep standards at the process level while partnering with Digital Technology on system-specific configuration.
  • Reduce product-structure complexity through fewer levels, fewer custom objects, and common modules across technologies.
  • Converge local site practices into one global way of working and lead the multi-year path toward standard, configurable MBOMs and routers.
  • Own the roadmap for automating MBOM creation, change propagation, and PLM-to-ERP synchronization, prioritizing based on measured manual effort.
  • Partner with DPE New Technology Introduction on lightweight automation, AI-assisted workflows, and kitting technology, and with Digital Technology on platform enhancements.
  • Define PLM-to-ERP handoff standards, including which system authors each attribute and manufacturing product data quality rules.
  • Review site deviations, limit permitted variation to legal, regulatory, or customer-contractual reasons, and address other gaps by updating the global standard.
  • Prevent parallel sources of truth, such as local spreadsheet loaders that bypass the system of record.
  • Agree decision-right boundaries with Factory Planning and New Technology Introduction concerning router use and kitting technology.
  • Act as business lead for manufacturing structure requirements in the Teamcenter upgrade across all technologies.
  • Lead user acceptance testing strategy, test cases, and test data; support defect triage with Digital Technology and the system integrator; and define manufacturing-structure go-live readiness, including data migration.
  • Use testing outputs and training materials as the first version of the global standard and own the prioritized post-go-live enhancement backlog, justified by measured effort.
  • Establish a named local E2M owner at each factory and lead the network of local owners.
  • Own global training, work instructions, and train-the-trainer delivery.
  • Track site adoption and manufacturing results, including MBOM release cycle time, engineering change-to-ERP turnaround, BOM accuracy, BOM-driven shortages and kitting errors, and the share of manual work automated.
