Global Process Engineer - Assembly & Disassembly

GE Vernova•Houston, TX
•$91,700 - $152,700

About The Position

The Global Process Engineer (GPE) works closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering Leader to develop and deploy global standards that improve the reliability, availability, and performance of Aero Alliance’s manufacturing equipment and processes. The role analyzes data and works cross-functionally to implement proactive improvements, reduce costs through equipment and process standardization, establish standards, and ensure adherence. The GPE is a focal point for new technology introductions, asset transfers, and new process introductions, including lead-time considerations, technology selection, fixturing and tooling recommendations, process and control plans, and manufacturing-asset qualifications. The position coaches and influences a dotted-line organization of factory manufacturing engineers across Aero Alliance factories. It applies analytical skills and lean methodology, guided by the principle of creating equipment process standards (“One Product One Process”), to advance safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The role offers extensive exposure to manufacturing, engineering, quality, and safe process development, and contributes to a culture of inclusion, respect, and continuous improvement. The GPE develops, qualifies, and improves manufacturing processes; defines and deploys global process and equipment standards; and supports asset reliability, lifecycle management, and spare-parts optimization. The position provides technical guidance and training to local factory manufacturing engineers, participates in equipment design and installation, and leads or contributes to reliability and continuous-improvement initiatives. It also interprets business challenges, recommends practices to improve products, processes, and services, and leads functional teams or projects of moderate scope and impact. This role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality, or a high school diploma and at least 15 years of such experience. It also requires at least two years in a technical role with expertise in assembly processes for aerospace engines or power plant turbines. Desired qualifications include 10 or more years of relevant technical experience, leadership and coaching capabilities, lean and quality-improvement experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and experience coordinating multiple projects. Travel is approximately 25%. Relocation assistance is provided. The listed U.S. pay range is $91,700–$152,700, with geographic differentials in certain areas and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
