About The Position

The Global Operations Accelerated Military Development Program is a highly engaging and programmatically structured initiative designed for veterans. It includes one week of onboarding, training on organizational structure, divisional/business functions, and soft skills. The program combines classroom instruction, e-learning, speaker series, case studies, and presentations from various business lines. Participants benefit from mentorship, access across the bank, and peer/professional networking. Veterans receive on-the-job training, market compensation, and immersion in daily industry experiences, allowing them to explore new career opportunities in financial services. They will work on complex problems and develop innovative solutions in client coverage and deal execution, including adhering to professional standards, coordinating teams, building relationships, conducting research, preparing materials, pitching new business, analyzing financial information, performing financial modeling, and generating ideas.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree (Required at time of application) with outstanding academic qualifications
  • Must have served honorably as a Junior Military Officer, Warrant Officer or NCO in the U.S. Military within the past 5 years and/or currently serving in the Reserves or National Guard
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills; numeric and problem-solving orientation
  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Distinguished verbal and written communication skills, ability to present complex material in a simple manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and interest in working with clients (majority of roles are client facing and/or require an interest in facing off with clients)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with market data sources

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality
  • Coordinating the activities of team members and clients with minimal supervision while taking on new responsibilities
  • Building relationships and facilitating the information flow across a wide array of products and businesses
  • Conducting industry and product research, database maintenance and/or writing reports
  • Preparing pitch books, live deal materials, and economic and market updates
  • Pitching new business
  • Analyzing detailed corporate and financial information, as well as conducting due diligence
  • Performing complex financial modeling & valuation work (discounted cash flow, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, comparable company analysis, etc.)
  • Idea generation and seeking out new, value-added, and/or unusual sources of information
