Global Mobility at Freshfields promotes and manages the firm’s mobility program, ensuring the smooth movement of colleagues across different countries to meet business and client needs, as well as to develop talent and fill skills gaps. Key areas of focus are colleague experience, compliance, and operational efficiency. The GM function is undergoing a transformation to prioritize employees, operational efficiency, and cost containment. This new role supports the Firm’s growing needs by managing the end-to-end planning, implementation, and support for secondments and international transfers, ensuring the successful application of Freshfields’ global mobility program policies. The Global Mobility Manager is the primary contact for managing and coordinating the full international secondment lifecycle. The role also supports international remote working requests and the relocation aspects for colleagues permanently transferring or who are foreign local hires. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy, requiring significant liaison with internal and external stakeholders and utilizing strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to partner with colleagues at varying levels of seniority.
