About The Position

DCMA is seeking a bilingual Japanese-English Global Mobility Manager to join our Human Resources team in New York. In this role, you will lead and support global mobility and international assignment processes for DCMA and its affiliates, serving as a key liaison among HR teams in the U.S. and Tokyo, managers, assignees, and external service providers. Drawing on knowledge of accounting, HRIS, and global mobility practices, this position will help strengthen global mobility operations, support compliance, and contribute to broader HR processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced Japanese language proficiency
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in HR/Global Mobility, with an understanding of international business operations
  • Specific experience with HRIS systems, payroll, accounting, and tax
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and treat sensitive information with discretion
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as applications related to human resources, benefits, and payroll administration
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones, exercising sound judgment, discretion, and attention to sensitive matters

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of global mobility: policies, allowances, payroll, benefits, taxes, immigration, and relocation
  • Liaise with senior leadership, ex-pats, local staff, managers, and internal and external stakeholders related to global mobility
  • Optimize Global Mobility operations, including reviewing and updating policies, procedures and documents in collaboration with Tokyo GHR, regional Global Mobility teams, and HR professionals from other organizations
  • Responsible for the full lifecycle of international assignments, including relocation, immigration, host country onboarding, payroll management, and tax filing
  • Oversee US Global Mobility team by hosting frequent meetings with team member(s), train and coach them as well as help develop their career path
  • Manage and build relationships with external service providers related to Global Mobility payroll, tax, immigration, relocation, and benefits
  • Manage firm-wide immigration policies and procedures in collaboration with Legal Department
