About The Position

As Global Medical Manager, Alliance Immunology within Sanofi's R&D team, you will play a critical role within the Alliance Immunology Medical Franchise. This position involves leveraging deep scientific expertise and medical insights to provide strategic counsel, drive operational excellence, and ensure the effective execution of priorities across the global medical organization. The role acts as an extension of the Global Head of Medical Alliance Immunology, translating strategic vision into actionable plans, orchestrating cross-functional alignment, and enabling leadership to focus on high-impact activities. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional operational discipline, capable of navigating complex organizational dynamics while maintaining high standards of discretion and judgment. This individual must seamlessly shift between big-picture strategy and tactical execution, serving as a trusted partner to senior leadership and a respected collaborator across the enterprise. Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years of diverse experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry including Global, regions, country
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple functional areas including medical affairs, strategy, operations, or related disciplines
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes
  • Experience working directly with or supporting C-suite or senior executive leadership
  • Strong background in strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, and change management
  • Global experience with understanding of regional market dynamics and cultural considerations

Responsibilities

  • Serve as trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to the Global Head of Medical Alliance Immunology on critical decisions, organizational challenges, and strategic opportunities
  • Provide counsel on medical portfolio strategy, organizational design, talent matters, and key business initiatives
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions to support leadership effectiveness
  • Represent the Global Head of Medical Alliance Immunology in meetings, forums, and stakeholder engagements as delegated
  • Synthesize scientific information and provide actionable recommendations to inform executive decision-making
  • Translate strategic vision into actionable plans with clear milestones, owners, and timelines
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and remove barriers to progress on key initiatives
  • Ensure follow-through on decisions and commitments from leadership meetings and governance forums
  • Monitor progress on strategic priorities and escalate issues proactively with proposed solutions
  • Lead high-priority, cross-functional strategic projects on behalf of the Global Head of Medical Alliance Immunology
  • Drive organizational transformation initiatives including restructuring, process optimization, and digital transformation
  • Coordinate annual strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation processes for Global Medical
  • Manage special projects requiring executive-level oversight and cross-functional coordination
  • Serve as primary liaison between Global Medical leadership and other corporate functions including Commercial, R&D, Regulatory, Corporate Affairs, and Legal
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate communication and alignment across regional medical teams and global functions
  • Prepare executive briefing materials, decision memos, board presentations, and strategic communications
  • Orchestrate leadership team meetings, offsites, town halls, and other critical forums
  • Establish and monitor organizational KPIs, performance metrics, and dashboards for Global Medical
  • Provide data-driven insights and analysis to inform strategic decisions
  • Partner with Human Resources on talent strategy, succession planning, and organizational development
  • Champion culture initiatives, employee engagement, and leadership development programs
  • Oversee governance frameworks, decision-making processes, and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
  • Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies for Global Medical operations
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and records for governance and audit purposes
