Conduit Finance, within Origination, is a global business that offers underwriting, asset securitizing, liability management, and ABCP issuance execution to help clients raise funding in the financial markets. The group collaborates with investment banking, derivatives, equity capital markets, and sales and trading teams worldwide to advise clients and optimize execution across their capital structure. Conduit Finance provides internship opportunities for undergraduates through its 10-week Summer Analyst Program, offering in-depth, hands-on experience with experienced market professionals. Requirements

Top grades in a four-year US college or university program (rising Junior or Senior status)
Basic market knowledge and a demonstrated keen interest in capital markets
Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
Extremely motivated and able to take initiative to identify ways to add value and improve practices
Problem-solving skills, business sense, and the ability to multi-task & prioritize in high-pressure environments
Positive attitude with willingness to perform beyond what is being asked
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of financial mathematics and concepts
Technical knowledge of programming/coding languages
Knowledge of accounting and ability to interpret financial statements
Familiarity with Bloomberg

Responsibilities

Develop ideas and market insights to support the Conduit Finance team, focusing on the Conduit Funding team to support ABCP issuance and trading across RBC’s global issuance platform.
Act as a junior trading analyst within Conduit Finance, gaining exposure to structuring and issuance of short-term ABCP structures in US and Canadian money markets.
Support daily ABCP issuance and funding for RBC’s 6 multi-seller conduit programs.
Assist with daily issuance, pricing of CP, and liability management guidelines.
Prepare term sheets and pricing supplements for structured CP note issuance.
Create marketing pitch books for origination clients and ABCP investors.
Conduct and present research to identify market trends on asset classes and peer issuers for business decisions.
Support funding and structuring of live client securitization transactions.
Work closely with senior bankers and traders to understand the business.
