About The Position

AstraZeneca is seeking a commercial leader for its growing commercial team focused on an MRA-SGLT2i asset, currently in Phase III development for Heart Failure with CKD. The company aims to be a leader in CVRM therapies by 2032, launching up to fifteen new medicines. This role will contribute to developing and implementing the global strategic and operational plans, supporting key launch markets, and collaborating with other marketing directors and cross-functional teams to prepare for global launches in cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of commercial or strategic marketing experience in biopharma.
  • US specialists launch experience in a competitive space.
  • Experience leveraging clinical data to shape brand strategies and lifecycle planning.
  • Strong working knowledge of forecasting, market research, useful insight generation, and competitive landscape analysis and interpretation.
  • Demonstrated experience in insight generation, positioning, and market shaping.
  • Experience from leveraging AI and digital to drive commercial strategy and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and shape the global strategic plan and implement the global operational plan for the MRA-SGLT2i asset.
  • Support key launch markets.
  • Shape product strategy with a tie to disease area strategies and insights (in CKD, T2D, HF).
  • Generate and use customer insights (patient, physician, payer) to inform clinical development plans and TPPs and to create differentiated and winning brand strategies.
  • Objectively analyze and commercially evaluate the emerging profile, competitive positioning, unmet need, pricing, and market access.
  • Develop evidence-based forecasts aligned with the target product profile.
  • Develop commercial programs with marketing companies to drive and address barriers to adoption at launch.
  • Manage marketing relationships with agencies, vendor partners, consultants, and other third-party groups.
  • Collaborate with CVRM Commercial leadership to deliver the global CVRM ambition, including successful product launch and Life Cycle Management plans.
  • Coordinate across the franchise to ensure seamless integration across different future therapeutic areas.
  • Manage franchise-level strategic planning discussions to drive alignment cross-functionally across indications.
  • Comply with AZ policies, standards, and procedures.
