About The Position

Set enterprise governance for equipment operations and facility-fit innovation to improve competitiveness, ensure compliance, and protect reliable patient supply across regulatory, quality, capacity, and environment, health and safety requirements. Serve as the primary interface for manufacturing sites, driving equipment/technology operations support and resolving process and plant-engineering issues. Lead facility-fit assessments for manufacturing equipment and facilities to enable network strategy, capital investments, lifecycle management, and technology transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Industrial or Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
  • Demonstrated 10+ years of progressive technical competence and leadership experience in pharmaceutical engineering or similar industry with strong understanding of GxP compliance and EHS requirements, including ICH, FDA, CMC, ISPE and PDA guidance documents.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with strong problem-solving mindset, decision‑making, and influencing skills; ability to lead in a global matrix organization; proven track record in driving alignment and managing change.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in engineering technologies supporting product development and manufacturing, project execution, global process and facility engineering and the associated regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Recognized as a problem-solver, creative and innovative thinker with strong technical, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing and plant equipment improvement programs to deliver right-first-time production, including contamination control initiatives.
  • Evaluate equipment operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and product quality (e.g., throughput, overall equipment effectiveness).
  • Lead facility and process-equipment evaluations and define design selection criteria to support network strategy, capital investments, lifecycle management, and technology transfer, within regulatory requirements.
  • Drive technology innovation through subject matter expert working groups, ensuring standardization/commonality, sound solution selection, and effective troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain equipment capacity modelling to monitor utilization, identify bottlenecks, and unlock capacity across the manufacturing network.
  • Support capital investment and business case development for equipment technology and facility fit, including benefits realization and funding logic.
  • Act as the enterprise integrator across Manufacturing, Manufacturing Science and Technology, Quality, Environment Health Safety and Sustainability, Supply Chain, Digital/DD&T, Procurement, and Finance, including executive oversight of critical supplier/partner ecosystems to unblock delivery and communicate strategy and progress.
