In this role, Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Project Office Manager to lead enterprise portfolio governance, complex cross-functional initiatives, and global project reporting within the Business Systems and IT function. Reporting to the Global Director of Business Systems and IT, this role will establish and mature global portfolio management standards, drive visibility and accountability across strategic initiatives, and directly manage high-impact, complex programs. The successful candidate will bring strong governance expertise, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across regions and functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, with significant exposure to global environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-level portfolios and governance frameworks.
  • Proven track record leading large, complex, cross-border transformation initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen, including capital planning and budget management.
  • Experience implementing or managing ERP and enterprise business systems projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PMO tools, portfolio reporting platforms, and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicts within various organizational structures.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage the global IT and Business Systems project portfolio framework.
  • Lead annual and quarterly portfolio planning cycles aligned to corporate strategy.
  • Develop prioritization models, resource capacity planning processes, and investment governance standards.
  • Ensure alignment between strategic objectives, budgets, and project execution.
  • Facilitate portfolio review meetings with executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Identify portfolio risks, dependencies, and conflicts; recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Develop standardized dashboards and KPIs for global IT and business systems initiatives.
  • Provide clear, data-driven reporting to the Global Director of Business Systems and IT and executive leadership.
  • Ensure consistent project health reporting across regions and functions.
  • Monitor financial performance, benefits realization, and value delivery.
  • Drive transparency in scope, timeline, budget, and risk management.
  • Directly lead high-complexity, global cross-functional programs (e.g., ERP, digital transformation, systems integration, infrastructure modernization).
  • Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk across multi-regional teams.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners/vendors.
  • Ensure disciplined change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Deliver initiatives on time and within approved budgets while meeting defined business outcomes.
  • Build and mature global PMO standards, methodologies, and toolsets.
  • Implement best practices in project governance, documentation, and lifecycle management.
  • Standardize templates, processes, and controls across global regions.
  • Provide coaching and oversight to project managers.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Regional IT leaders to ensure alignment.
  • Support business case development and capital planning processes.
  • Facilitate structured decision-making across complex stakeholder environments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on project risk, prioritization, and investment trade-offs.
