Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Global Force Management (GFM), force sourcing, force allocation, readiness, or operational planning activities within the Department of War
  • 4+ years of experience supporting Joint, Combatant Command, Service, or Space Force planning activities, including the Joint Planning Process (JPP), Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX), campaign planning, or contingency planning.
  • 1+ years of experience integrating space capabilities into joint or combined operations, including support to geographic Combatant Commands
  • Knowledge of GFM policies, processes, and authorities governing force assignment, allocation, apportionment, and employment
  • Ability to analyze force requirements, readiness, and operational risk to develop recommendations supporting global force employment and synchronization
  • Ability to coordinate and synchronize activities across Combatant Commands, Military Services, Joint Staff, Space Force organizations, and interagency or allied partners
  • Ability to prepare executive-level briefings, decision papers, and written products to support senior military and civilian leaders
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting the Joint Staff, a Combatant Command, or a Space Component Field Command
  • Experience supporting U.S. Space Force operations, planning, or force presentation
  • Experience coordinating with interagency, allied, or coalition partners
  • Experience using DoD operational planning, readiness, or force management systems and tools
  • Knowledge of Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) processes and Joint force sourcing
  • Master's degree
