About The Position

This position will conduct a variety of sophisticated risk evaluations as part of a distributed team. Conducts and directs incident response/emergency preparedness activities in support of the overall risk and security framework of the organization. Serve as primary point of contact in aligned region for any matters reported into the Aon Global Emergency Operations Center. Manage global incidents, emergency notification systems, critical issue notifications and help coordinate follow-up actions across a dispersed team during emergencies and major business interruptions using provided team/enterprise collaboration tools. Participate in 24/7/365 coverage in a follow the sun model to include some nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. Serve as the communications hub for Global Security Services. Coordination of assistance to colleagues and the business over the phone, e-mail and in person to ensure effective and timely resolution when incidents occur. Prepare and supply to the ongoing effort of providing timely risk assessments and situation reports to various business lines and collaborators across the enterprise. Monitor intelligence activity and support intelligence assessments to determine potential risks and threats to the business, physical sites, and/or colleagues. Perform initial incident investigation and assign severity levels used by the Security Operations Team for event investigation and situation management. Initiate incident notification, case tracking/management and follow through to closure. Administer and support the delivery of business and employee crisis response and emergency communication activities to include the use of an emergency notification system. Schedule, lead and organize collaborator incident management calls, as necessary. Assist in the establishment of methodologies to solve analytical problems when raw unfinished data contains information gaps and requires validation. Deliver metrics and measurements supporting program evolution and validation. Provide support and participate in crisis mitigation and after-action reporting. Make valuable contributions to the development and continuous review of the GEOC’s role within the enterprise-wide risk management framework (policy, standards, SOPs, playbooks, critical issue protocols, etc.). Assist the Regional Operations Manager and Global Head to build partnerships with other internal collaborators and private/public sector entities responsible for threat related operations, threat monitoring, crisis management, and response.

Requirements

  • 3 years of proven experience in an incident, emergency response collaborating with people at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and independent operator with the ability and maturity to make decisions in the absence of immediate direction.
  • Prior analytical experience related to security operations.
  • Collaborator management skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and methodically when under high pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, enabling clear articulation and translation of Emergency & Security response practices to Senior Leaders in a corporate environment.
  • High level of proficiency in English, with a preference for a background involving professional roles within an English-speaking environment.
  • Ability to proactively source threat intelligence via various channels (OSINT, Aon tools, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to learn new software such as databases.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $60-$68k annually.
