Global Capability Centers Deal Architect Senior Manager

Accenture•St. Louis, MO
•$112,900 - $271,000

About The Position

As a Senior Manager, the Global Capability Centers Deal Architect leads the commercial shaping of large- to mid-sized Global Capability Center (GCC) pursuits across an industry group. The role owns the proposition—what Accenture is selling, its client value, and the deal structure—and serves as the commercial face of the pursuit with clients. The Deal Architect leads proposition workshops, presents the value case, and defends deal structure in negotiations, working alongside rather than replacing the Sales Leader. The position works closely with Sales, the Solution Architect, Commercial and Pricing, and the Delivery Organization. These partners respectively own the client relationship and contract, solution design and economics, pricing model development and validation, and delivery capability and mobilization after signature.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in commercial deal shaping, solution architecture, management consulting, or pursuit leadership.
  • At least 3 years of experience on large managed services, outsourcing, or Global Capability Center (GCC) transactions.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a commercial proposition through to close, including pricing and contracting structure.

Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial aspects of large- to mid-sized deals end to end, from qualification through signature.
  • Support the Managing Director and Associate Director on the largest pursuits by owning defined commercial workstreams.
  • Build the commercial narrative and value architecture explaining why Accenture's integrated model is right for the client.
  • Set the pricing envelope and deal structure, brief the Solution Architect to design within it, and review the resulting solution.
  • Coordinate Technology, Finance, Talent, Supply Chain, and delivery partners to create one coherent offer.
  • Identify and develop new pursuit opportunities within the industry group, working with Sales and Client Groups to progress them through qualification.
  • Coach Managers on mid-sized and smaller deals and review their commercial output before it reaches the client.
  • Run proposition workshops, present the value case, and defend deal structure in client negotiations.
