About The Position

CIBC Global Asset Management is a collaborative team committed to delivering innovative investment solutions and maintaining the highest standards of regulatory and governance compliance. As a Global Asset Management Analyst in our Fall 2026 Co-op program, you'll gain valuable exposure to mutual funds, finance, and regulatory practices. You'll support the team by working with large, complex documents and extensive Excel files, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all deliverables. Your role will involve both independent work—analyzing data, reviewing documents, and preparing reports—and active participation in team discussions. This opportunity will help you develop your technical skills, build your understanding of asset management operations, and contribute to projects that drive our business forward. Requirements

  • Relevant experience.
  • Knowledge or coursework in mutual funds, finance, or regulatory and governance practices.
  • Comfortable working with large Excel files and Word documents, and can manage complex data and text efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented and focused, excelling at heads-down work, carefully reviewing information and delivering accurate results, even when working independently.
  • Curious and proactive, actively seeking out new information, asking questions, and embracing learning opportunities.
  • Collaborative team member who values teamwork and communicates effectively, even while working individually for extended periods.

  • Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tasks related to regulatory compliance and governance, ensuring documentation meets industry standards.
  • Review, organize, and update large documents, including Excel and Word files, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Contribute to research and analysis of mutual funds and financial products, supporting portfolio managers and analysts.
  • Work independently with large datasets in Excel, preparing summaries and insights for the team.
  • Participate in team meetings, share questions and ideas, and collaborate with colleagues while working individually on assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrate curiosity by seeking out information and asking questions to deepen your understanding of asset management.
