About The Position

Orion Pharma is seeking an experienced Global Asset Lead (GAL) to oversee the strategic vision and delivery of a priority oncology program. This role involves leading a Global Program Team (GPT) in a matrix environment, coordinating Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, Medical Affairs, and Commercial functions. The objective is to maximize the medical and commercial value of the asset from early development (Phase 1/2) through global registration, launch, and life cycle management. The position requires a blend of technical expertise (scientific and clinical) and business acumen (BD, portfolio strategy, market dynamics).

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree: Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Pharm.D., or an equivalent doctoral-level degree (e.g., MD).
  • Minimum of 15 years in pharmaceutical or biotechnology R&D.
  • Minimum of 8 years specifically in Oncology Asset Leadership or a similar high-level matrix role.
  • Documented success in leading a program through a global regulatory submission (NDA/BLA/MAA) and subsequent commercial launch.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead large cross-functional teams without direct line-management authority in a Big Pharma environment.
  • Experience managing large-scale program budgets.
  • Sophisticated understanding of NPV/Asset Valuation models.
  • Ability to transition between high-level strategic discussions and technical deep dives.
  • Exceptional executive presence; ability to challenge senior leadership.
  • Unwavering commitment to clinical data integrity and delivering meaningful outcomes to cancer patients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and annual update of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP), ensuring alignment across clinical, regulatory, technical, and commercial workstreams.
  • Develop, refine, and execute the Target Product Profile (TPP) to achieve a competitive and differentiated label.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs and Clinical to drive an integrated evidence generation strategy (including RWE and HEOR) for market access and reimbursement.
  • Lead the Global Program Team (GPT) as the central decision-maker, ensuring alignment on asset objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical R&D and downstream functions to ensure launch readiness.
  • Proactively manage cross-functional priorities, trade-offs, and resource constraints.
  • Act as the lead presenter for the asset at Senior Executive Governance meetings to secure funding and alignment.
  • Establish clear 'Go/No-Go' decision points and present data for portfolio prioritization.
  • Lead formal risk assessments and develop contingency plans for potential challenges.
  • Strategize and execute on line extensions, including new indications, earlier lines of therapy, and combination regimens.
  • Ensure the IDP includes global geographic considerations and pediatric investigation plans.
  • Lead collaborations with academic groups and manage Joint Steering Committees for co-development assets.
  • Serve as the asset expert for due diligence on in-licensing opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and participate in strategic partnering discussions.
  • Continuously monitor the oncology landscape to adjust asset strategy based on market dynamics and competitor activities.
