About The Position

The Global and Sustainability Work Study will help promote global studies, study abroad, and sustainability on campus. This work study will help educate students, faculty, and staff on study abroad, environmental justice and on sustainable practices.

Requirements

  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Excellent photography and photo editing skills
  • Strong social media and event promotion skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to collect and analyze data on engagement in global and green programs

Responsibilities

  • Assist Dr. Anne Hayes as needed with various projects and events
  • Create flyers, social media posts, and other promotional materials to support all Center for Global Studies and Sustainability events and programs
  • Take photographs at events and programs
  • Promote study abroad and sustainability efforts on campus by creating flyers and other materials
  • Create informational social media posts about study abroad, global studies, intersectional environmentalism, environmental justice, sustainability, and events on campus
  • Track the progress of global and sustainability initiatives, including level of student engagement
  • Increase education and awareness on the importance of study abroad and sustainability
  • Lead and delegate tasks to a group of volunteers
  • Attend weekly meetings
