About The Position

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to own validation of glazing and closure systems for a client developing an autonomous vehicle. The systems include glass and glazing, doors, latches, actuators, and seals, which must operate and seal reliably throughout the vehicle’s life. The role has a particular emphasis on closure mechanisms and their reliability and durability. The engineer will develop and execute validation plans, define test methods and acceptance criteria, oversee durability, environmental, and performance testing, analyze results and failures, and verify components against durability, environmental, and regulatory requirements before production. The position is on-site five days per week in Foster City, California, with travel as needed to suppliers in Michigan and Modesto, California. The stated salary range is $110,000–$130,000; the actual offer depends on factors including location and job-related qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
