Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to perform basic math
Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
Physically able to perform assigned tasks
Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
Measure openings and mark glass for cutting to precise dimensions
Cut, shape, and finish glass using hand and power tools
Install glass in windows, doors, skylights, storefronts, and other structures
Assemble and install framing systems (metal or wood) for glass support
Secure glass panels using clips, moldings, gaskets, or glazing compounds
Apply sealants and weatherproofing materials to ensure airtight and watertight installation
Remove and replace broken, damaged, or outdated glass
Inspect completed installations for proper alignment, quality, and code compliance
Follow safety procedures and building codes when handling materials and working at heights
