About The Position

ONE Glass Service is seeking a talented and professional Journeyman Glazier with 3+ years’ experience installing commercial glazing products including but not limited to common Storefront / Curtain Wall / Interior Glass Specialties / Doors & Hardware. Position will be responsible for following the plan of the day and performing standard work as outlined by Team Lead. The journeyman glazier will notate deficiencies, identify safety hazards, and report to Team Lead. All safety rules and procedures outlined by Team Lead and customer must be followed. All major tools, safety, and installation equipment are provided; smaller power and hand tools of the trade are expected to be supplied by the candidate. Company has a strong set of core values. Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • Valid driver license and clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with the National Glass Association standards and practices.
  • 3+ Years working on large and medium sized commercial construction projects, New and Renovation in the Glazing trade.
  • Layout skills including basic builders’ level and/or laser operation with a clear understanding of horizontal and vertical control.
  • Experience with multiple manufactured framing systems of storefront / curtain wall / including doors and hardware.
  • Experience with general glass types and the proper identification of commercial IGU’s, interior and specialty glass products.
  • Able to work in basic “Apps and Software” from a remote device such as an I-Phone or tablet.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 75 lbs. regularly.
  • Experience in the safe operation of mechanical equipment such as fork-lifts, telescoping man lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, and larger power tools stationary or mobile.
  • Experience in the removal and replacement of older systems.
  • Experience with STICK framed systems by multiple national manufactures.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check.
  • Must be a servant leader.
  • Strong willingness to learn, understand and adapt to the company culture and core values.
  • Must have excellent people skills and experience communicating effectively and professionally with customers and other trade partners.
  • Must desire and demonstrate a high level of quality and craftsmanship in all endeavors.
  • Must demonstrate examples of encountered problems, technical errors, and personality conflicts and how they were overcome and resolved to the degree required for a successful close of a project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the carpentry trade + glazing trade is advantageous.
  • Experience with and high comprehension of general construction documents such as Architectural Drawings / Structural Drawings / Product Installation and Shop Drawings / Technical Specifications is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel, and Bluebeam desired, but training is available to enhance knowledge and skill level of each.
