About The Position

The Glass Quality Inspector is responsible for performing visual quality checks on finished glass products, identifying, recording, and communicating any problems related to the glass products or equipment failure. This role ensures a constant flow of product for the assigned area, packs windows onto racks using proper glass handling techniques and PPE, and ensures packing specifications are followed. The position also involves maintaining 5S and housekeeping standards, cleaning work areas, fulfilling supervisor assignments, and training/encouraging others. Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct, Values, and Principles is required. Other duties may be assigned by the manager.

Requirements

Ability to work in temperatures of extreme hot and cold based on weather conditions.
Willing and able to work a 12 – hour shift and mandatory overtime when required.
Physical ability to sit, walk, push, stand, carry, lift, squat, kneel, and/or twist.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

1 - 2 years working in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Perform visual quality checks on finished glass products.

Pack windows onto racks using proper glass handling techniques and utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment.
Ensure the packing specifications are being followed for each unique part being packed.
Perform 5S and housekeeping standards and responsible for clean-up of work areas.
Fulfill assignments/tasks given by supervisors, team leaders, or group leaders.
Train and encourage others in order to achieve team goals.
Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
