Requirements

  • Proficiently run all equipment on the production floor within the assigned area.

  • Keep up with communication boards every hour on line status.
  • Follow directions from supervisor and pass them on to leads.
  • Read and understand the schedule and priorities.
  • Work overtime and weekends as required for production needs.
  • Have a positive attitude and work with team members.
  • Learn all PC systems and be able to do end-of-shift pass downs in the absence of a supervisor.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, people-oriented environment.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure.
  • Have good PC skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Quality Insurance background desired.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish desired.
  • Basic understanding of 5 Why process to trouble shoot, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions desired.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in safety, ensuring all required PPE is always worn.
  • Ensure schedules are ready for all line leads and distributed to each line.
  • Maintain awareness of each line's position on the schedule at all times.
  • Ensure all Line leads are present and on time.
  • Conduct meetings with leads to discuss areas for improvement and other production-related topics.
  • Actively involved in onboarding new hires, ensuring they are teamed up with the right person and checking on their progress throughout the shift.
  • Ensure leads are keeping production boards updated and address discrepancies.
  • Prioritize and push through remakes on the lines.
  • Ensure fall out carts are complete and labels are not left undone.
  • Be proactive about downtime, managing personnel effectively during these periods.
  • Help push production to meet goals and identify and correct issues when lines are not performing.
  • Problem-solve to get lines back to meeting MPO goals.
  • Hold lines accountable for producing high quality and ensuring adherence to CTQ guidelines.
  • Make decisions independently when a supervisor is not present.
  • Proficiently operate all equipment within the assigned area lead's production floor.
  • Communicate clearly with peers and subordinates daily on business-related items.
  • Maintain excellent attendance.
  • Keep communication boards updated hourly with line status.
  • Follow directions from supervisor and relay them to leads.
  • Read and understand the schedule and identify priorities.
  • Work overtime and weekends as required for production needs.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work effectively with team members.
  • Learn all PC systems and perform end-of-shift pass-downs in the supervisor's absence.
  • Potentially run a line in the absence of a lead.
