About The Position
MY Shower Door is seeking coachable, mechanically inclined individuals to install luxury frameless shower doors and build specialized trade skills through in-house training and mentorship. Installers work in pairs at residential job sites, delivering precise installations and a high-quality final touch on home renovations. The role includes frequent interaction with homeowners and requires care, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to company safety and quality standards. The position is field-based at residential sites across local markets, generally in finished bathrooms in new or remodeled homes. The work is fast-paced and varied, with regular use of tools and physical handling of glass panels weighing up to 100 pounds. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with extended availability and overtime available. MY Shower Door is family-owned and describes itself as Florida's leader in luxury frameless shower enclosures, with more than 120,000 installations and multiple showrooms across the state. Installers are trained in-house and are company specialists rather than subcontractors. Successful candidates undergo a background check, driving record review, and drug test upon hire; the company also participates in E-Verify and maintains a drug-free and smoke-free workplace.
Requirements
- Be reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
- Be comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Be able to add and subtract fractions and use a tape measure accurately.
- Be physically capable of lifting heavy materials, bending, kneeling, climbing, squatting, and standing for long periods.
- Be team-oriented and take pride in craftsmanship and detail.
- Be willing to follow directions, ask questions, and continuously improve.
- Be comfortable interacting professionally with customers.
Nice To Haves
- Background or experience in carpentry, tile, drywall, remodeling, plumbing, or general handyman work.
- Understanding of construction finishing or remodeling.
- Familiarity with levels, caulking techniques, and power tools.
- Previous experience at residential job sites or in customer-facing roles.
Responsibilities
- Install custom frameless glass shower enclosures with precision and care.
- Work in a two-person team to complete installations on-site.
- Interact respectfully with customers, explain the installation, and answer questions.
- Use tools such as drills, levels, suction cups, and measuring tapes.
- Safely lift and maneuver glass panels weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Apply caulking and ensure watertight, seamless finishes.
- Maintain a clean and protected work area in customers' homes.
- Follow company safety and quality standards on every job.
