This position focuses heavily on picking, material handling, and keeping the warehouse running efficiently, with limited driving responsibilities. It involves selecting incoming pick tickets using RFID technology to accurately fulfill customer orders, preparing, packing, and staging products for transfer and customer pick-up and delivery. The role also includes receiving, processing, and storing incoming auto glass product shipments, inspecting shipments, documenting damages or shortages, and initiating freight claims when necessary. Verifying delivery contents against packing lists, checking vendor part numbers and MGC stock numbers, and preparing receiving reports are key tasks. The specialist will store incoming products in the proper location, determine bin numbers, verify stock counts against CORE inventory, and report discrepancies. Operation of hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment safely is required, along with monitoring equipment and reporting any safety or maintenance concerns. Maintaining required certifications for hazardous materials and forklifts is essential. Responsibilities also include breaking down boxes, stocking accessories, organizing inventory, adhering to health & safety policies, and assisting in maintaining the appearance of the branch by cleaning the warehouse and counter area. Additional duties involve prepping, inspecting, labeling, and loading to limit breakage, loading delivery vehicles, assisting customers with will call pickups, driving company vehicles for deliveries or transfers, processing customer returns, verifying warranty paperwork, and performing cycle counting for accurate inventory records.
