About The Position

AutoNation is seeking an Automotive Windshield and Auto Glass Installer to install auto glass and windshields on inventory and sold customer vehicles. The technician is expected to work independently, deliver consistent, high-quality installations, and ensure all work meets dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances. This role is in a fast-paced environment and requires adherence to company procedures, policies, and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record that can be maintained.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• General mechanical skills.
• Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Manual dexterity, good judgment, and ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and other machinery safely.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various work schedules, days, and hours of operation.
• Passion for cars and customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school experience.
• At least three years of experience as a specialty auto glass technician in an aftermarket business or auto dealership.

Responsibilities

• Install auto glass and windshields on inventory and sold customer vehicles.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in auto glass installation.
• Complete installations according to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances.
• Perform quality work without direct or continual supervision and work on all assigned jobs.
• Provide the tools needed to perform auto glass services.
• Pay close attention to detail to deliver consistent, high-quality installations.
• Follow safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, dust, and harsh chemicals.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in interactions with customers, coworkers, and suppliers.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
